Firefighters 4 Kids Serving Families in 2023

As we quickly approach the holiday season, the Firefighters 4 Kids is entering it’s 46th year of assisting children in the Columbus, Ohio area. As in the past, this year’s program will be serving children ages 0-12 years of age.  Sign up’s are always done at agencies throughout the Columbus area.  When signing up at an agency, please be sure to check what documents are required for signing up.  Most agencies require at a minimum, a picture id for the adult and proof of age for the children that are being signed up.  We look forward to serving the community another for another year.

In Honor of our Fallen Member

Throughout the years of the Firefighters 4 Kids program, there have been many people who have given their time to help with the program.  As time passes, these people become more than a volunteer, they become family.  On November 6th, 2023, we lost one of our family members,  Clyde “Dave” Williamson was a retired firefigther from Columbus Fire Battalion 5, known lovingly as the River Rats.  Dave has served with the program for many years and was always there with a good attitude and a kind heart.  He withstood the cold of helping people in and out of the buildings, collecting toys, working at the toy drives, handing out toys, and much much more.  He was a good and kind man that will be truly missed by all whose lives he made an impact on.  Our family sends our deepest sympathies to his family, and are dedicating this year’s toy drive in his memory.  Thank you Dave for all the memories.  You will be missed.   Fly high dear friend.
